All Are Welcome

This year we want to extend an invitation to join us as we promote
worship in our church through our singing.

Who Can Join?
Anyone who loves worshiping the Lord.
Anyone who needs to feel connected to the people of God.
Anyone who needs a midweek boost in their spirit.

Do I need to know how to read music?
Not necessarily.  We are trying to create a musical environment this
year that eliminates the necessity to be a music reader.

Do I need to know how to sing?
You do not need to sound like Paveratti or Charlotte Church but take
this quick quiz to see if you would actually qualify.

1. People close to me wonder what song I am actually singing in the shower. Yes No
2. My husband/wife keeps jabbing me during worship at church and I don't know why. Yes No
3. I sang just one note for my "American Idol" audition and Simon said, "You are quite possibly the worst singer in America." Yes No
4. I keep eating breath mints but still no one will stand next to me when we go Christmas caroling. Yes No

If you answered "yes" to any of the above questions, here are some great
options for you....

C.   Pastor's Bible Study on Wednesday nights is fantastic!

If you answered "No" to all of the above questions we have a seat
waiting for you and would love to see you sit in it.  Just show up in
the choir room at Grace Assembly at 7:00 on Wednesday nights.

Christmas Happenings

Each year Grace's Worship Choir produces a Christmas musical that will promise to make
this Christmas season a wonderful memory for all who participate.  Don't
miss out on the opportunity to get involved in this Christmas
production.  There is room for all interests.  We are looking for
singers, actors, stage hands, production crews, hospitality crews,
lighting engineres, and set builders.  Call the church office for more
information.

How you can help us:

Occasionally there are things that our choir needs in order to better
serve our church body.  If you would like to help us by donating any of
the following, we would feel greatly encouraged!!!!

New or used worship CD's that we can share to help us worship more
consistently in our own lives.

Sing A New Song

Many of us go through life filled with transitions and seasons.  Some of
the seasons are filled with change and uncertainty and then there are
times that we seem to just stand still, unable to move deeper with the
Lord and unable to see real change in our lives.  If the latter seems
true in your life then Grace Assembly's Worship choir is the place for
you.  This year our choir's theme is "Sing to the Lord a new song".
Psalm 96:1 says, "Sing to the Lord a new song; sing to the Lord, all the
earth."  I love how the  psalmist has in view broader horizons.  

We are looking for broader horizons in Grace Assembly's Worship Choir
and in our own personal lives.  However, we have a couple of choices to
make. First, we have to choose to sing.  It is interesting how many
Psalms say, "I will sing....."  I  believe we must stand up and proclaim
that in the midst of all of life's trials and challenges "we will sing."
Second, we have to choose what we will sing. We can sing old songs over
and over or we can do what David says and "sing a new song."

Do you need a new song?  Are the old songs in life getting repetitious?
First, make a choice to sing to the Lord and then choose to sing a new
song.  We can help you do both.  I would like to invite you to come and
join us this year as we sing a new song of worship to the Lord.  Not
only will our church be encouraged by your choice to sing but I believe
you will be encouraged as you sing the words to the songs God has given
us.
